Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983): Four Frights
by
Ray Crowe
I suppose I'll always be partial to 1983's fantasy anthology Twilight Zone: The Movie, as it was my first introduction to horror films back in the mid-'80s upon its original network run on television. As a wee child of eight, I was dazzled by the film's mind-blowing visual effects by Rob Bottin (The Howling, Legend) and intrigued by the touch of fright and menace that laced certain segments.

Loving The Bomb - Technology And Conquest In The Films Of Stanley Kubrick
by
Ezra Stead
Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999) was undeniably one of the most brilliant and innovative motion picture directors of all time. His meticulously crafted works have influenced innumerable filmmakers all over the world, from Steven Spielberg to Gaspar Noe. Obviously, entire books have been written about Kubrick's oeuvre, so let us focus here on the peak of his career, from 1963 to 1971, and the three films that are, arguably, his greatest masterpieces: Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964); 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968); and A Clockwork Orange (1971).

The Significance of College Park Airport in Maryland
by
Robert Waldvogel
Only one airport can claim the title of the "world's oldest, continuously-operating" one. That title belongs to College Park Airport, located in Maryland, some 25 miles from the state's major facility, Baltimore-Washington International Airport. College Park's own origins can be directly traced to the Wright Brothers.

Article Writing - Plagiarism
by
Michael Russell
The definition of plagiarism is very clear, but sometimes its application as far as writing articles is not so cut and dried. This article plays a little devils advocate when it comes to the problem of plagiarized articles.

Boxer Dogs: Ten Things You May Not Know About Them!
by
Avril Harper
Legend says when God was fashioning different breeds of dog out of clay, he came to his final task and decided to create the most beautiful dog ever and call it a 'Boxer'. But this new breed of dog was vain and rushed to see himself in the mirror before the clay was properly set and bumped headlong into his own reflection. That accounts for the flat nose characteristic of the Boxer, and also proves that God really did accomplish his design for the world's most beautiful dog! Here are another ten things you may not already know about Boxer dogs...

Rocky (1976)
by
Leonardo Faria
Shot with gritty realism on the mean streets of Philadelphia, ROCKY introduced a new American cinematic hero, spurred on by rollicking action sequences and a rousing soundtrack. A triumph for star and screenwriter Stallone, who himself came from nowhere to reach the top, ROCKY is crowd-pleasing entertainment at its finest.
