Questions of Ethics - Charles Rangel, Bradley Manning, Et Al
by
Gene Lalor
Ethics has been defined as "the study and evaluation of human conduct in the light of moral principles... the standard of conduct that individuals have constructed for themselves or as the body of obligations and duties that a particular society requires of its members. Ethics has developed as people have reflected on the intentions and consequences of their acts." That definition may be reduced to four words, doing the right thing.

Pfc Bradley and a Matter of Loyalty
by
Joseph Parish
During the course of your military duties you take an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States and to follow the lawful orders as instructed by your superiors. It is only common American courtesy that you would never release information which may be detrimental to your country let along dangerous and life threatening towards your fellow military members.

Bradley Smoker - How to Smoke Or Roast Foods Right In Your Own Backyard
by
Stuart Carson
Cooking food outside has been around since the cave man days, so I guess it's a pretty popular way to prepare some of our food. People love the flavor that cooking over a fire produces, and with modern technology, we are also able to enjoy the flavors of food that has been smoked at low temperatures for many hours.

Timothy Bradley Would Have To Use His Head Against Manny Pacquiao
by
Anna S Lee
Boxing fans all over the world are bracing for yet another fight that could possibly be the next best thing to a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather match up. We all have to settle for the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley fight on June 9, 2012 but that does not mean this will lack the firepower that millions expect from the long time rivals who, ironically, had not scheduled a fight after all these years. It would be interesting to know how the orthodox Bradley will fare against the Pacman.

Sketches of a Young Man Wandering
by
Brandy Lewis
Having witnessed the demise of good literature in this country I am happy to say that a new voice has emerged, one that has overcome the desolate literary landscape of the last two decades. Apart from the recent achievements of Junot Diaz (The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao) and Jonathon Safran Foer (Everything is Illuminated), American literature has unfortunately been reduced to a heartless slew of genre, finance, and motivational titles. Sketches of a Young Man Wandering is the anti-genre, anti-capitalist answer to this trend.

Don't Touch My Vera Bradley Handbag
by
Niall O Brien
What is it with a woman and her handbag? Why does she need so many? These are all questions likely to be asked by males with little to no understanding of the complexities of woman. Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley
by
Richard Stooker
The stories of the six Marines who raised the American flag over Iwo Jima are told here in great depth by one of their sons. This includes the overall story of the war in the Pacific, and especially the battle of Iwo Jima, the most intense battlefield in history with the possible exception of Okinawa. Other battles were also intense, but none of them lasted five weeks.

A Short Biography on Some of Europe's Most Loved and Hated Monarchs - Pt2 (Mad) King George III
by
Stuart Bazga
During the last thousand years, European Monarchs have ruled Europe and the world with an iron fist and by fear, compassion and hatred. As their wealth grew from the riches of newly conquered continents and lands, they began building some of the worlds greatest castles as a sign of their status and wealth, leaving behind a legacy of beauty and splendor that has lasted well into the 21st century. These members of royalty have included tyrants, the mentally insane, drunks and the psychotic, who have murdered for pleasure and raped for enjoyment. Imposed terrible taxes on already poor citizens. They married for financial power and traded in lives. Kinfolk were murdered so a favorable son could rise through the ranks. As their power increased so did the atrocities, bringing with it the hatred of a nation and it's people. Join me as we take a trip back in time, discovering which Monarchs were tyrants, mentally unstable, drunks and psychotic, as well as those who were loved by their people. This series of articels will highlight the lives of Vlad Tepes(Dracula), King Ludwig II and King George III to name a few.

Indian Coins From Princely States!

Most of India was controlled by the British before its independence in 1947. However, the Indian states did not have to give up their right to issue coins within their respective states. Watson and Crick's Discovery of the Double Helix
by
Dan Manley
The history and story behind the discovery of DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid) is a fascinating one, the discovery is often credited to molecular biologists James D. Watson and Francis Crick, however, that's not quite true. DNA itself was first isolated by Swiss physician Friedrich Miescher in 1896, when Meischer discovered a microscopic substance in pus that resided in the nuclei of cells which he named nuclein.

The Train In Spain Crashed Mostly Like a Plane Causing Fatal Pain - Was the Conductor Insane?
by
Lance Winslow
In late July of 2013, 80 passengers died when a train jumped the tracks. What happened? Well, we don't know for sure, maybe someday we will, but the train was going nearly twice the speed it was supposed to and around a corner not designed for such high-speeds with that type of train. Worse, the conductor had previously bragged and boasted on his social networking page about such excessive speeds, even posted pictures of the speedometer at 190 Kilometers per hour. Was the conductor insane?

Banking Pain in Spain With Stormy Clouds and Forecast of More Rain on the Plain

Perhaps, you remember three or four months ago when the European Union was supposedly going to be saved by the Chinese. Richard Wright - Moving Away From America Transforming Him to an Internationalist and Africanist
by
Arthur Smith
Wright traveled extensively--to Africa, Asia, and Spain--and wrote several non-fiction works on political and sociological topics. He had helped found Présence Africaine with Aimé Césaire, Leopold Senghor, and Alioune Diop. He spent some time in Ghana and in 1954 published Black Power a title drawn from a term coined by Wright, concerning the color line in Africa and the new "tragic elite," the leaders of the former colonies. In 1953 Wright travelled extensively in the then Gold Coast which was awaiting independence to do research for a book on Africa. The boat in which he was travelling stops briefly in Freetown, Sierra Leone en route to Takoradi where he disembarks and travels from there 170 miles to Accra, his main destination. He meets Kweme Nkrumah the then Prime Minister and other members of his Convention People's Party as well as the king of the Ashantis and other traditional rulers. Excursions took Wright from Accra to Cape Coast, Christianborg and Prampan, visiting slave-trading fortresses and dungeons travelling almost 3,000 miles in a chauffeur-driven car, touring the interior from Koforidua to Mampong and from Sekondi-Takorasdi to Kumasi regions.

Book Review - As the Darkness Deepens by Michael Cale
by
Jason Sizemore
Newton's Third Law of Motions states that "For ever action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." Michael Cale's latest novel, As the Darkness Deepens, is an interesting study in this universal law as it relates to the forces of good and evil. While this is a common storyline, Cale's strong characterization and the powerful climax give an otherwise trite subject substance to formulate a solid story.

Es Castell - A Brief History
by
Ian Perry
Es Castell is situated at the mouth of the Port of Mao and framed by two attractive coves, Cales Fonts and Cala Corb, and is the easternmost town in Spain, and the first to see sunrise. It is a town steeped in history and military connections, evidence of which can still be seen today. Originally named Georgetown by the English who built it in square-block military style, it was later renamed Real Villa de San Carlos (Villacarlos) when the island reverted to Spanish rule in 1782. It is now known as Es Castell (The Castle) because of it's proximity to the previously demolished Fort San Felip.

Mathilde Santing - Holland's World Class Export
by
Charlotte Corday
I lived in Amsterdam for a couple of years in my mid twenties. When I was around Rembrandtplein,
I would often go to the art deco bar, Cafe Schiller, where the soundtrack always seemed to be Marvin Gaye's 'Here My Dear.'

Code Of The Imperiai - Mass-Kill Or Die
by
Lahai J Samboma
You negotiate when you believe there is something to be gained from the process - and that something may not necessarily mean a settlement. The Americans, like the rest of us, know that Iran is determined to stay the nuclear course. And the Iranian leadership know that the Great Satan is equally determined to wipe out by bloody means if necessary the threat they represent to its interests. The ongoing horsetrading, brokered by the EU, Russia and China - is a canny piece of gamesmanship by both sides as they play for time. The Americans need it in order to regroup, especially after the massive resource expenditure and fallout from the Iraq adventure. The Iranians need time in which to attempt to unpick this precariously-poised united front being presented by the "international community" - and maybe to even put together a quick-fix, dirty bomb for deployment when the whistle goes.

Islamic Books - Reviews of Recent Bestsellers
by
Sohail Khan
As there are a number of Islamic books being published every year, it becomes hard to select ones that are fact based and good to read from the scores available in stores. For a book lover like me, the most important part of reading is the selection of books that I read in order to get something informative, well written and not repetitive.
