Periodic Table
Ways to Understanding the Periodic Table
by
Bharath Patel
The periodic table displays the chemical elements in rows and column wise. There are 7 rows and 18 columns in the complete periodic table and the elements are arranged in the increasing atomic number starting from Hydrogen whose atomic number is equal to 1.

Understanding the Periodic Table of Elements
by
David Nicolosi
The periodic table of elements is a table which shows the arrangement of chemical elements ordered by atomic numbers in columns and rows. It was invented by Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869 to determine the periodic trends in the properties of elements. The elements are listed according to their increasing atomic numbers.

How to Memorize the Periodic Table
by
Lance Winslow
A few months ago, I was talking to a chemistry student and she laminated to me that she was having just a terrible time memorizing the periodic table. She said she needed to for the class because if she didn't, she probably wouldn't pass, and it was a required prerequisite. She was so upset about this, that she decided she hated chemistry, and she didn't know why she had to study it anyway.

Why the Periodic Table Was Changed
by
Gwen Nicodemus
One of the science blogs I read started off with news of the Periodic Table being changed by the IUPAC in December 2010. The chart is changed every time someone creates a new element in a laboratory setting, but this change is more fundamental then documenting an obscure, unstable element that very few people care about. The molecular weight of ten common elements was changed from a fixed number to a range. Why?

How Discovery of New Element in Periodic Table Relates to Probability of Alien Life
by
Bryan Sanctuary
Didn't they find a new element recently for the periodic table of the elements? If so then there could really be new elements in space, and new alien life...if so what? Are there non intelligent organisms somewhere in the center of the universe? Wouldn't the smart life be closer to the center of the universe since it was created first, so if not where are we in comparisons to the center of the universe and are we alone ultimately?

5 Star Book Review - "Mystery of the Periodic Table"
by
Teresa Dear
This collection of chemist biographies is strikingly interesting and easy to read, very informative and child-friendly. When our homeschool materials order arrived in the mail recently, I planned on looking through things to see if I wanted to return anything. Well, I ended up reading through this entire book and going to bed at one am!
