Arctic Monkeys Album Review: Suck It and See
by
Tom Hodson
Turner and co. are back with the infamous 'tricky' fourth album. However, if third albums were notoriously difficult, than the fourth must be something else entirely and expectations are high for a 'return to form' by the band. So has it delivered?

Arctic Monkeys - Review
by
Mantas Lisauskas
After hearing I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor on the radio and the fact that it made Number 1 within a few weeks of it being released I thought the Arctic Monkeys deserved a review on UKEvents.

Get Your Music on iTunes, Rhapsody and Make Money
by
Jim Moncur
I am always being asked about the value of putting music up for sale on the big online retailers like iTunes or Rhapsody for small or unknown bands. Essentially a source of acute opinion, occasionally an album of rare quality will crop up which features on the vast majority of the yearly definitive lists, now seen as much a predictable fixture in the collective public consciousness during the Christmas period as...

An Alternative Music Review Of 2006
by
Joel Girling
It was a year that saw pop music decline, music sites prosper and a Sheffield act take complete domination, 2006 was a productive year for everyone involved in British music. Bands were reforming
reintroducing themselves, and whilst most collected music awards few gained entrance to the annual Hall Of Fame event at Earls Court. Whether it was on television, on the internet or at festivals all year round bands were propelling themselves towards stardom.

Bands and the Old-School Problem With New Media and MySpace
by
Alana Mileras
Bands talk about the "new frontier" of the music industry -- new media - as if it alone is the means to fame, success and ultimately, financial security. But what does having a popular MySpace or Facebook page mean offline, in the real world? Through understanding that an online presence is only one piece necessary for a successful career, artists can better prepare for the next level and create their own success.
