You put in the ground; it opens up, gives instructions, takes in nutrients and water, and starts working. Eventually it becomes whatever type of plant that seed belongs to, do you see this point? It turns out that a group of very smart scientists have decided to collect all the seeds from all the plant species, especially all the crops in case there is a cataclysmic event here on Earth.
