Thomas P Gilbert

Breaking Bad: Season 5 Episode 8 'Gliding Over All'
by
Alan F Herbert
The ricin cigarette was brought back into play in this last episode of 2012 (the final episodes will air in July 2013) with Walt meeting Lydia. The poison was not needed though as Lydia brought a new deal to the table which would take the blue meth to the Czech Republic where the purity of meth is low and the demand is high. Cue the meth empire expanding to a level which was nicely shown by a scrolling camera showing bug extermination tents springing up all over town.

Breaking Bad: Cooking Up Something Good
by
Nancy McDonald
Rarely do I have the same night free every week in order to watch any given television show so I have a bucket list of things I'd like to watch before I die. Since its premiere, AMC's Breaking Bad has been on this list. I didn't know much about it at all other than that it starred the dad from FOX's Malcom in the Middle, he portrayed a high school chemistry teacher who gets cancer, and he starts making meth. But with the great word of mouth it received and then, eventually, all of the award nominations it received, it was a given that it would be watched sooner or later. Once the fifth and final season started this year, I noticed a lot of hoopla on Facebook concerning the episodes. I decided it was time. I was going to watch this Breaking Bad.

Joan and Peggy.
These two have been the subject of much contrasting over five seasons of Mad Men, and this week's episode, titled The Other Woman, casts their differences in the sharpest relief yet.

Lost Season 5 - Jack Off Drugs And Island Bound
by
Mike Broda
As if we needed any further reason to plant our asses on the couch for additional hour per week, Lost has come back for it's 5th and penultimate season. The 2 hour premier, made up of two episodes Because You Left and The Lie did supply quite a bang to jump start my enthusiasm for the show again. While I don't classify Lost as a television program as much as I do "digital crack" I think it managed to fulfill the fix more efficiently than Jack taking a trip to the hospital pharmacy.
