Should I Enter the Westpac Stair Climb on Friday October, 8 2010?
by
Andrew Fugiel
I was asked recently to take over a persons place in a 4 man team that has already been entered into this event, well this did spark a lot of thought on my part should I say yes or should I politely decline. I have been doing a lot of running lately and I have been reading a lot about marathon runners and how they train.

Gail Kelly - Metamorphosis of Gail Kelly From a School Teacher to a CEO
by
Jini Maxin
Gail Kelly. Does this name ring a bell? Nope. Okay. Gail is a 54-year old South African female who runs Australia's largest Bank- Westpac today. Yes she is the CEO of Westpac. So naturally, that makes her one of the wealthiest people in Australia today. But it wasn't always like that.

St Heliers Real Estate - Will Your Property Decline in Value?
by
Tim Golder
A property investor recently predicted on television that the New Zealand property market will drop in value by 10 to 15 percent because the Government removed property taxation advantages in the budget. St Heliers real estate owners can dismiss such numbers because their suburb is not prime property investment territory: the rental housing stock there is limited to 25 percent of the total dwellings according to Statistics NZ.

What It Was Like to Visit Italy and Saudi Arabia While Being in the US Navy
by
Vince Stead
I write about Italy, and Saudi Arabia together, because I visited both these places, but did not get to stay in these two countries, very long. I had just spent a long time, outside of, and off the coast of, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, making sure the oil shipments, got threw, without being attacked. We were on our destroyer, and one of our jobs was to escort Kuwaiti oil tankers, from being attacked, from nearby countries.

What It Was Like to Be Stationed on a US Navy Destroyer Out to Sea
by
Vince Stead
The first time I ever laid eyes on her, the USS DAVID R. RAY (DD-971), a Spruance class destroyer, I was in the Philippines, and the ship was going to be pulling up alongside, our submarine tender ship, I was presently on. I was standing outside on deck, leaning against the rails, and I could see two officers standing amidships, watching their destroyer, getting tied up to us.

What Is Was Like to Visit the Philippines While on a Navy Warship and Take a Port of Call
by
Vince Stead
I was happy, when I finally learned that I would be meeting up with my ship, it was going to be pulling into the Philippines. I was going to fly from San Diego, to Manila, and then take a van down the country, about 200 miles where the ship was going to be tied up at. About 6 other guys, and me, were going to the Philippines on an Air Force cargo plane that was going that way.

What Is Was Like to Be Stationed on a Submarine Tender in the United States Navy
by
Vince Stead
What is was like to have sea duty aboard a submarine tender. The first thing I learned about being in the Navy, is that if your duty station is a ship, and it's moving across the ocean, sometimes it takes you, a long time, to catch up to it, to get on it. That was the deal with this ship, and the destroyer I was on also.
