Nairobi - Safari Capital of the World
by
Arjen Koopman
Nairobi, Kenya's capital, is a world-class city, and has some of the best facilities found in Africa. The name comes from the language of the Masai people, which translates to "the place of cool waters". The city has two nicknames: 'Green City in the Sun' and 'Safari Capital of the World' - the second because of the many tourists that use Nairobi as a hub for a safari in East Africa each year.

Nairobi Travel Tips - Things To See And Do In Kenya's Capital
by
Arjen Koopman
Many people traveling to Kenya use Nairobi only as a fly-in hub to get to the national parks or the beaches. Great as they may be, still I think you're missing something if you don't spend a few days in Nairobi as well. It's a huge cosmopolitan place with a lively cultural scene, great shopping, a lot of good hotels and restaurants, a killer night life, and many sights of interest. Besides, it's the only city worldwide with a full wildlife resort just outside the city borders.

Nairobi City Day Tours
by
Joe Maina
The skyscrapers of the Kenyan nation's capital stand over what was 100 years ago just a remote, uninhabited watering hole in the highlands. Nairobi is a Masai name meaning "place of cold water" and that was good enough for the British to choose it as a camp for their railway from Mombasa to Lake Victoria. Today it is a bustling modern capital at crossroads of east Africa with a population of 4 million.

Nairobi National Park - The World's Most Convenient Wildlife Park
by
Arjen Koopman
Nairobi National Park is a full wildlife resort located just outside the city of Nairobi, Kenya. This makes the Kenyan capital the only city in the world where you can be in the middle of the bush with a 30-minute car ride from the city centre. Most wild African animals can be spotted there. So although Nairobi National Park is one of the smaller wildlife parks in Kenya - it's 117 square kilometres or 45 square miles - it can't be beat for convenience.

F1 - Is Kimi Raikkonen Done?
by
Dirk Gibson
I must admit that I am a fan of Kimi Raikkonen and that has rarely been easy. Has there ever been a driver with so much talent who appears to be so uninterested in what he is doing? With the news that Kimi will sit out the 2010 season, the legitimate question now seems to be whether he is done with Formula One once and for all.
