Terrorism - The Left, the Right, and the Middle East
by
Howard Jacobs
Nancy Pelosi recently referred to people attending town halls as people with "swastikas on their arms". In fact, whenever people on or leaning towards the right protest an issue, these kinds of references or common. This article tries to set the record straight as to which side of the political aisle actively supports and sympathizes with terrorists.

Prophecy 2011 - Is America Dancing With Devils?
by
Michael Bresciani
This will be a transitional year for America and indeed the rest of the world as well. Too many degenerative changes have been set in motion across the globe for us to see much of a reversal in the great demise of nations. Will America get onboard this global wave along with the rest of the world; let's examine.

The Sarah Palin Gaffe Gap
by
Larry Trent Carter
Since Sarah Palin has been on the national scene, there has been an increase in the amount of attention paid to gaffes committed by politicians. Much sport was had with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano's botched account on just how safe the American people are from terrorist attacks when she said "thousands of people (are) working...

WTF! Citizen Spy Groups?
by
Michael Muehleisen
I remember when I was a kid, we used to watch TV footage of East Berliners/Germans risking their lives to escape from their country. They were running from their own country because it had become a utilitarian society of the highest proportions. The escapees knew if they could get to West Germany, or the US, they would be able to live their lives as they chose. I was glad we were able help the few that got out.

Obama - There Since Cinco De Cuatro!
by
Scott Spiegel
I've got it- an excuse the Obama administration can use to explain why it waited so long to take substantive action in dealing with the Gulf oil spill, an account that also manages to stick it to George W. Bush: Obama was so busy cleaning up Bush's messes that he didn't have time to clean up the mess in the Gulf! The timeline of events since the explosion of the British Petroleum-leased Deepwater Horizon oil rig on April 20 reveals a less than flattering picture of the acuity and alacrity of the government in fulfilling its role in handling the crisis.

Mobile Borders and Immobile Government
by
Bruno Korschek
This article reviews the current situation on both of the America's borders, the northern one with Canada and the southern one with Mexico. Based on recent news reports, it concludes that our government and the political class that operates it has fallen woefully short in securing our porous borders. Seems that drug cartels and illegal immigrants are very mobile in attaining their border goals and objectives while our government is severely immobile in solving the border issues.

Did You Plug the Hole Yet, Daddy?
by
Gene Lalor
One of the many things that cooked Jimmy Carter's chances for re-election in 1980 was his confession that he consulted with his 13 year old daughter on nuclear weapons policy. We never learned of Amy's strategic suggestions to the president. Barack Obama, he says, has been asked repeatedly by one of his daughters as the poor guy was trying to shave every morning, "Did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?"

Is the US Government Failing to Protect the American People Along Our Nation's Borders?
by
Lance Winslow
We all know that government's number one and most important job is to protect the American people. In fact they are supposed to do that before they do anything else. It may be hard to believe, but that is why our founding fathers set up the federal government in the first place.

Bringing World Peace To A Whole Other Level
by
P. Albert
Spreading the love, raffling a most coveted token to raise money for a nonprofit organization, promoting a higher-level of health awareness through proper nutrition and holding the NBA record for the longest suspension because of an on-court brawl... WHAT?! Wait a second. You're talking about world peace and then suddenly say something about a record-long suspension because of a fight? This is the irony of peace... This is Metta World Peace.

The Impact of Steve Nash on the Los Angeles Lakers
by
Matthew D Perez
Whether you're a casual fan or you analyze your fantasy league better than an insider trader analyzes Wall Street, this NBA season will not disappoint. An iconic finish between some of the game's best players in last year's finals made up for a shortened season, and coming out of promising draft picks, shocking trades and free agency signings, and a confident Team USA eyeing Olympic Gold, the 2012-2013 NBA season and the sport of basketball have never looked better. But one veteran and future hall of famer has his sights set on his first championship. Here's how it might happen.

Is There a God? The Power of Metta Meditation
by
Teri Sigerson
"Metta Bhavana" is a fundamental practice in Buddhist meditation and a very powerful one. From the ancient Pali, Indo-Aryan language, Metta translates to "loving-kindness". The essence of the word can be thought of, in English terms, as friendliness, good will, kindness, close mental union and having an active interest in the well-being of others.

Loving-kindness is the result of a form of Mindful Metta meditation. Mindful meditative practices help you become more present in the here and now. The Tombstones and Creepy Old Crypts of Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion
by
Louis Mongello
Dear Lou... We just love the Haunted Mansion! Every time we go, we just love looking at the graves in front of the entrance, and we just noticed the mausoleum at the exit. Were they always there (I don't remember the mausoleum). And are the names on the graves of real people or just made-up?

Metta - The Practice of Loving Kindness
by
Kris Vockler
Just about every human being goes through varied degrees of contention in a lifetime, a feeling of swimming against the current of a river. This being a form of suffering in life is, at the base, a concept that spawned Buddhism in the eyes of the Awakened One, Buddha. Life is inherently full of suffering and we all experience it at different levels, some with great foreboding and fear and others with just having a bad day. According to Buddha, one of the practices that can cultivate a vaccine for this type of suffering is the practice of Metta or Loving-Kindness cultivation.
