NBA Draft - Tyler Hansbrough Has Something You Don't Find Everyday
by
Charles Jay
Tyler Hansbrough was about as highly decorated a college basketball player as one can imagine, but does that translate to success in the pro ranks? Many people are not high off Hansbrough's ability to go from stardom at North Carolina to stardom in the NBA, but he may be able to grind out a career, if he finds the right team and the right role.

2009 NBA Mock Draft - Version 1.0
by
Adam Rizzo
With the lottery completed and the order decided, it's time to try my hand at an early mock for this year's NBA draft. There have already been some risers and fallers early on and I'm sure there will be more in the coming days and weeks. Some teams are looking to shop their picks, mostly in the late first round, but for now, I'll just assume that there won't be any trades.

ACC Goes Down To The Wire
by
Joe Phillips
This has to be the best battle in any major conference with 4 teams all within ½ game of the top spot 1. Boston College is atop the all with a 9 - 3 record, and they have one of the best forwards in the league in Jared Dudley averaging 19.6 ppg., 59% fg % also wp front is Shamari Spears 5.6 boards pg. and John Oates. In the back court is Tyrese Rice 17.1 ppg., 144 assists and Sean Marshall 15.1 ppg. The bench isn't too deep with Marquez Haynes, Tyrelle Blair and Tyler Roche. The loss of Sean Williams the best shot blocker in the country (5.1 pg.) 12.1 ppg. and 6.9 boards has hurt the Eagles.

Ness Notes (Jan 19)
by
Larry Ness
Duke (81-68), Florida (113-62) and Pittsburgh (76-68) all won last night and will head into the weekend as the nation's only three remaining undefeated teams. Illinois won its first 29 games last year before losing its regular season finale at Ohio State, 65-64. The Illini then won the Big-10 tourney and made it all the way to the national championship game, where they lost to the Tar Heels, 75-70.

Ness Notes (Feb 7)
by
Larry Ness
In Monday's NBA, the 76ers went over 15 minutes without a FG (0-for-19) in the second half and lost to Houston, 87-81. The Rockets are now 13-6 when both Ming and McGrady are in the lineup and could make a late-season run at the playoffs. New Jersey won its 11th straight home game (8-3 ATS) by beating the Hornets 99-91 and the Bobcats made it two straight wins (following 13 straight losses!), in a 119-106 win over the Sonics. Golden State beat Denver 122-114, giving the Warriors their sixth straight pointspread win and handing the Nuggets their eighth straight ATS loss!
