REVIEW: Biffy Clyro "Only Revolutions"
by
Joe A Cinocca
First impressions about this band entered my mind before I even had the chance to check out this disc. Is this a solo artist? Is it a strange name? What is a Biffy Clyro, exactly? The only thing I knew about this band before I heard the first note was that they were from Scotland and they won a Best Live Band award from New Music Express (NME). I have several friends who are really into british music and had suggested I take a listen to see if I might like it.

Glasgow - The UK's Indie City
by
Ian Dougherty
Many more indie bands have helped to make Glasgow one of the most vibrant indie cities across the world. The numbers have also been swelled by bands that have congregated or studied in Glasgow and taken advantage of the thriving scene and vast amount of gig venues. Bands like Snow Patrol or Biffy Clyro don't hail from Glasgow but without the support and infrastructure of the city, who knows where they would be today.

Twin Atlantic - Powerpop Pride of the Scottish Highlands
by
Melissa Benson
Twin Atlantic relies on social networking and electronic downloads to release it's music as it helps keep costs down. It also effectively expands their fan base to a global basis. But all that might change very soon for Twin Atlantic. In early '09, TA signed a contract with Red Bull Records and is reportedly heading to the studio.
