What Remains
Book Review - Strength in What Remains - A Journey of Remembrance and Forgiveness by Tracy Kidder
by
Timothy Zaun
In May 1994, 24 year-old Deogratias Niyizonkiza (aka Deo) escaped the prevalent Rwandan genocide. Deo boarded a plane bound for New York's JFK Airport. He had two hundred dollars to his name, spoke no English and had no American contacts.

Of Fleeting Images and What Remains - Impressions of a Hotel Interior Designer
by
Carolyn C Miller
In the olden times, there isn't much of a profession called a hotel interior designer. Hospitality establishments operate merely to accommodate pilgrims, itinerants, and roaming traders. The innkeeper's friendliness and the affordability of the room's rates were mostly the considerations aside from its accessibility.

"Living with What Remains" Author Judith Dupree (Poetry) Book Review
by
Cherie L. Burbach
"Living With What Remains" speaks of a message of hope in a world so often filled with struggle. The work consists of three sections of all free- verse poetry, the presence of God and faith visible throughout. I found the later poems of the book to be suggestive of the Psalms - calling out to God in desperation and lament.

Interview with Judith Dupree, Author of Poetry Collection "Living with What Remains"
by
Juanita Watson
"living with what remains" is a volume of poetry that focuses in an unusually prescient way upon the losses we face in a complex society and frighteningly vulnerable world. With an eye to the "eternal clock" and a lingering look at what it means to be human in a steadily declining environment, Dupree paints an unflinching picture of the despair that defeats us and the stubborn hope that sustains us.

Route 66 Attractions - What Remains of the Original Mother Road?
by
Kelvin Bush
The original mother road of Route 66 has broken down due to numerous state and interstate routes. However a smaller version of it still remains and is considered one of the most taken highways for both Americans and tourists who want to experience the many wonders that this route has to offer. Route 66 attractions are many.

How to Determine If You Should Remain Friends With Your Ex
by
Rosy Anderson
The age old question after the breakup is 'should you remain friends with your ex?' There are divergent points of views on this with some saying 'yes' and others saying 'no' but the truth is that it will depend on you and your ex; and the relationship that you had and currently have. So how do you go about determining if you should remain friends with your ex?

Love Remains True
by
Mac McGovern
I wrote this poem to a wonderful friend suffering through breast cancer and the removal of her breast. It has no impact in our relationship. Love and understanding overcome obstacles.

When What Was Ours Never Was
by
Steve Wickham
Perhaps this is the secret to enduring heartbreaking loss. If God is above all other things in our hearts, and all worldly things are placed in their proper perspective, we will still feel great pain in grief, but our hope runs beyond the things that can be taken away. For, God can never be taken away from us. Only God is a sure hope.

Death - What Happens When We Die?
by
Liz McCaughey
It is said that beyond the human kingdom there is a place that the 'dead' go and in some circles it is believed that when a person 'dies' they are really 'reborn' to spirit. These so called 'higher realms' goes way beyond being physical but comes more into the subjective realms.
