Christmas Traditions are Winter Solstice Traditions
by
Leon Priz
Most of our Christmas traditions, such as putting up the Christmas tree are from beautiful winter solstice traditions. They are very ancient traditions, and the original meanings of the traditions have almost completely been lost. It is time to revive the true origins of the traditions, for they are based upon very lovely sentiments.

December 21, 2009, was the Winter Solstice, also known as Yule. This is the shortest day and longest night of the year.
