KC Kudra
The words "deep fried" might strike fear into some people but, to be honest, there is nothing wrong with enjoying deep fried food occasionally. Your doctor would never advise you to deep fry every meal but sometimes a country fried chicken recipe or a bowl of French fries makes a satisfying treat.

History Of The Wisconsin And Milwaukee Fish Fry
by
Tom Graber
The Friday Fish Fry is almost a religion in Wisconsin in it's popularity and discussions of who has the best fish fry. In reality, religion has much to do with the Fish Fry being a favorite Friday night ritual for many across Wisconsin and all around Milwaukee. It's roots are in the Milwaukee area and how it came about is fascinating as is how the All-You-Can-Eat fish fry came to be. Just about every bar, restaurant, tavern and pub offers their version of the fish fry and they offer many kinds of fish such as cod, walleye, perch, tilapia, haddock, smelt, shrimp, pollack, bluegill, grouper and even smelt but cod and perch are the most commonly but really first started out as whitefish because it was so plentiful in Lake Michigan and cheap.

Which Oil is Best For Deep Fried Recipes?
by
Christine Szalay-Kudra
Deep-frying means cooking food in hot oil. Unlike with sauteing or pan-frying, the food is totally submerged in the oil when you deep-fry. This cooking method can be traced back to exotic European and Asian roots, when the fat was rendered from meat and used to cook foods faster than with roasting or stewing. There is a lot of cholesterol in animal fats, so a lot of people prefer to cook with vegetable fats like canola oil.

Deep Fried Candy Bars - The History of This Unusual Recipe
by
KC Kudra
Deep fried candy bars sound mouthwatering to some people and rather unappetizing to others. Whether or not you have tried this unusual treat, it might interest you to learn a few facts about this dish, as well as its history. Candy bars can be fried in the batter you normally use for fried chicken recipes, fish, or sausages, or you can use a coconut batter instead. Candy bars are chilled before they are battered. This stops the chocolate from melting into the hot fat.

Advantages of Deep Frying
by
Michelle Blu
There are advantages to deep frying, but they all depend on following guidelines regarding how to deep fry correctly. If you do deep-fry correctly, you will find that there is nothing easier and many other advantages. Use a vessel (pan or pot) deep enough for a single layer of frying food to be completely submerged in oil. You don't need a special deep fat fryer and any wide casserole (cooking pot) will do the job well enough, as long as it is both wide and deep enough (as you need do without the comfortable basket found in many deep fry pans).
