Do you long for those golden days of yesteryear, when men wore hats and women wore gloves, when crew cuts were cool and a hippy was someone who ate too much fatty food? Want to recapture that era in your artwork? Well, back in 1963, illustrator Jack Hamm wrote an art book that captured the look of that era perfectly. Movie Review - American Film Institute Rates Wilder's "Some Like it Hot" As the Best Comedy Ever
by
Ed Bagley
In its day, "Some Like It Hot" was a hot ticket, being nominated for six Oscars and winning one. Released in 1959, this black-and-white film also served as the greatest comedy platform for its three main characters-Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe), Joe as "Josephine" (Tony Curtis) and Jerry as "Daphne" (Jack Lemon). Find out why AFI named the film the best comedy ever made....

Celebrity Dolls Have Been Popular for Many Decades
by
Laura Prier
Celebrity dolls and action figures have been very popular for many decades. It would seem that people often collect figures of high profiled celebrities. Collectors may have hopes of making a profit off a particular star's figured item which they have purchased. Others collect these treasures because they are truly a great fan of a person in the spotlight.

Some Like It Hot - Blu-Ray
by
Steve Exeter
Some Like It Hot marks the Blu-ray debut for screen legend Jack Lemmon and illustrious writer/director Billy Wilder, this was the first in a 7 film partnership and I anticipate 20th Century Fox shall be releasing the other Mirisch Company titles that they've recently acquired from struggling MGM Studios including The Apartment, Irma La Douce, The Fortune Cookie and Avanti! which I will review as soon as they become available. I said in my previous Jack Lemmon article that Some Like It Hot was a touchstone film for me when I first saw it.

Scenes From An Elevator
by
Michelle Duffy
He once said that "the worst part about being me is when people want me to make them laugh..." Well, if he had had any idea as to the dent he left behind in the way comedy was focused upon in films and how his humour melted into a pure second nature to him, then I think he would have shrugged it off in his natural modest fashion, wondering what the fuss was all about.
