Kevin Pietersen has been named as the first none British Born England Cricket Captain. At the age of 28, and undoubtedly one of the best batsmen in the world, Pietersen has been selected by the English Cricket Board as the man to lead the England team in to the Ashes Series in 2009 against Australia, as well as captaining the one day side which will include the lucrative Twenty Twenty Stanford Series. This article considers Pietersen's credentials as captain and concludes that the future under his tenure looks promising.
